Refund Policy

Last updated

When Crested charges to launch an event app, it’s a one-time fee in US dollars for that event. Here’s when we refund it.

On this page · 7 sections

1.Full refund if you haven’t launched to guests

If you ask within 14 days of paying and your app was never launched to guests, we’ll refund the full fee, no questions asked. “Never launched to guests” means no invitations were sent from Crested and the app has no guest activity: no posts, photos, votes, expenses, scores, or travel plans.

2.After launch: case by case

Once guests are using your app, the fee usually isn’t refundable, but we look at every request fairly. We’ll usually refund in full or in part if:

  • your event was canceled or postponed indefinitely;
  • something on our side didn’t work and we couldn’t fix it in time for your event;
  • you were charged for an app you didn’t mean to launch.

Duplicate charges are always refunded in full.

3.How to ask

Email hello@crested.app from the address on your Crested account with your event’s name and link, or the date you paid. We aim to reply within two business days.

4.What happens after a refund

  • We refund to your original payment method through Stripe. Depending on your bank, it can take 5–10 business days to show up.
  • After a full refund we take the app offline. Your design stays in your account, and you can relaunch it later by paying the fee again.
  • After a partial refund, your app stays live.

5.Before you dispute a charge

Please email us before you dispute a charge with your bank; we can usually sort it out faster. While a charge is disputed, we may take the app offline.

6.Free launches

If you launched an app without paying (for example, during an early-access period), there’s nothing to refund.

7.Your legal rights

This policy doesn’t limit any rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live. See our Terms for more about fees.
